These caves, visited by many tourist are made of limestone having stalactites and stalagmites, which is formed due to a facinating phenomenon. The joining of the roofs and floors of these caves lead to the formation of pillars that attract attention. The deepest and the longest of the caves in South Asia are located in Meghalaya. Krem Mawmluh and Krem Phyllut are two interesting caves near Cherrapunjee.

The Kali River Rafting

Pithoragarh, the eastern most district of Kumaon, is bordered by Tibet on the north and Nepal on the east. Jhulaghat is a small village in Pithoragarh district on the banks of river Kali at Indo-Nepal border is named after a hanging rope bridge across the Kali river. This bridge is the only way to go from Nepal to Jhulaghat. Cross-border trade with Nepal takes place through this bridge. You will witness this cross border trading as well as begin rafting down river Kali from here.

Arrive Jhulaghat While the rafts are inflated check out the cross border trading settlements at Nepal side of the river Put in on the river and commence the first descend on the mighty Kali river (this river's one side is Nepal and the other India) Arrive at a un captioned river beach Set the river camp Enjoy a bonfire with dinner Overnight on the beach camp.

Pack up Commence the second descend on the river hitting some grade 3 plus rapids encourse to the 35 kms river run. Arrive Pancheshwar and enjoy sometime swimming on natural swimming pools created during high volumes. Proceed by surface to Abbotmount (approx 60 kms/ 03 hrs). Arrive Abbotmount and check in at the British bunglows At leisure. Overnight at Abbotmount

Check out and proceed for a hike to the Karnakaryat fort with picnic lunch. Transfer to Kathgodam.

Due to its strong spicy food, India is considered to be more of a whiskey country than a wine country. Among the grape producing areas of India, Nashik adorns a prominent position. The salubrious climate of this city is conducive for large-scale grape cultivation and one of the famous vineyards in Nasik is Sula Vineyards. Formed in 1997, by Rajeev Samant (the techie employed with Oracle in California, who dumped everything to fulfill his dream of starting a Wine Brand in India). Sula was the cover story of the famous wine Magazine - Wine Spectator, in its November 2002 issue. Originally, a 30-acre family estate is now a vast spread of 1500 acres, which increases the winery's total capacity to 5 million litres. The harvest and crush season runs from January to March.
One of the friendly, knowledgeable tour guides(always ready to answer questions about viticulture) will take you on a tour of the vineyards and winery, uncovering the mysteries of the winemaking process from grape to bottle. The tour ends with a wine tasting session at the "Tasting Room". Designed by Californian architects Andy Hope (of the Stanford Design School) and Laurel Roth, the 2000 Sq. Ft. "Tasting Room" boasts a blue-mosaic balcony bar with a spectacular view of the vineyards and the surrounding lakes and hills. The 34-ft. bar itself runs continuously from the inner room to the open balcony, and is softly lit by wine bottle lamps hanging from the ceiling. Here you will learn how to see, swirl, sniff, and sip wine. For most people, sipping a wine at its origin gives them a kick.

Angling is a method of fishing by means of an "angle" (metal hook). The hook is usually attached by a nylon line to a fishing rod. A bite indicator such as a float is mostly used. The rod is usually fitted with a fishing reel that functions as a mechanism for storing, retrieving and paying out the line. The hook can be dressed with lures or bait. Angling is a principal method of sport fishing. A drive through jungle routes in the lush thickets of Karnataka's soft underbelly brings you to the Cauvery, a large and majestic river of South India. Dotted on the banks of this river are the Cauvery Fishing and Nature Camps, now known as home to the great Mahseer - the most challenging and the largest tropical sporting river fish known to man.
